Welcome to milieudevot.com. This is my personal site where I typically blog about things that I find interesting -- specifically things that are Old, French, and Catholic. I have a particular interest in the Recollect Friars, Traditional Franciscanism, Medieval French popular Catholicism, Medieval Neoplatonism, and the French Catholic counter-culture in the Modern Era. I like translating Medieval and early-modern texts from French to English. I NEVER use AI in my translations as a matter of principle. All of my translations are done in GNU Nano, as is the case with anything that I code or design on the computer. If you know what that means then you may point and laugh now. I have another site, www.daysofjoy.net, that I try to update daily, God willing. Any website that I make is intended to be viewed on a desktop computer. I also like bugs, Unix, hiking, taking my children to my local public library, and many other things. Thank you for visiting my site.
